What is the ideal length of a newsletter?

I am trying to figure out what would be an ideal length for a newsletter. I think a balance has to be made between telling a story and conveying something in a compact way. For me personally, too long newsletters are not that attractive. I like to quickly find out interesting information, which makes me more inclined to read it completely. Of course, it also depends on a certain topic and the writer. However, it would be nice to get some insights.
Split test a really short vs. a really long newsletter and see which one your audience likes more.
I send once a week, usually with four stories. Including the intro my latest newsletter, tomorrow, has 1034 words.
I don’t really think there is an “ideal length”. If you’re providing value in the content that you are sending out, it doesn’t really matter.
I personally layout my newsletter in such a way that It can be skimmed, while others make theirs for intense reading.
There is max size that gmail clips a newsletter, and that’s at 102kb, so keep that in mind.
