What is the top of your recruiting funnel?

Hi! My name is Doug and I'm an engineering manager at a start-up in San Francisco, I've been trying to figure out the best way for us to raise our brand recognition, specifically for the purpose of recruiting more senior engineers. After doing some research, one of the strategies that was highlighted was content! Engineering blogs, interviews, or meet-up presentations.

This selfishly led me to start scalefintech.com (using carrd.co) my first attempt to generate high quality recruiting leads. To start, I'm hoping to build a mailing list of engineers who want a little more insight into the job market. Hoping to stay away from the jobs board-like vibe, instead explore content highlighting the team/manager who is making the hire. With the goal of increasing the quality of the candidate pool.

I assume some indiehackers are still full time employees. Are there any recruiting hacks you've used to grow your recruiting funnel? Aside from keyword searching resumes, what strategies have you used to filter through a stack of applicants?

Thanks!
