What is the user activation rate for your Product?

I am just wondering how do you measure and define your user activation rate for your SaaS?

The definition of activation rate is different for different SaaS products.

At Howuku, our definition of activation is when a new user installed our tracking code and has used one of our core features.

We also recently started studying our user activation rate across different acquisition channels to determine the effectiveness of each of the channels.

Some channels give us a very high activation rate of around 90% while some others 0% which gives us a really clear picture of what makes a good and bad acquisition channel.

I've never heard of this activation rate metric. Is this the percentage of visitors that become active users?

    If so for me it's:
Once you upload a PDF file to my website I consider you an active user.

Yes, you're correct. It is the % of users who got to the "Aha" moment and realize the value of your product.

Do most of your users upload at least one PDF file?
