Hey Indie Hackers,
I've been seeing a rise in a certain style of photography being used by startups, particularly DTC companies, and I was wondering if it had a name and if anyone this type of photography as a service. I can only describe it as "items on a solid color background". Photo is attached!
I don't think it has a specific name. It is basically just traditional studio product photography with a non-white background (craft paper, cloth, etc). Pastel and color blocking are two other keywords that will show you a ton more examples.
For a 'service' way to replicate it, I would look into the new offering Square has https://squareup.com/us/en/photo-studio, then edit the resulting photos into whatever color-blocked design you want with Photoshop, https://artboard.studio, or photos.icons8.com/creator.
