What is wrong with my Twitter?

Hello everyone,

I am trying to step up the Twitter game maybe for 2 years and started accelerating it for 2 months but I can’t see any results. This is started to become depressing. I want to grow a community and get in touch with people.

So, why my twitter account is not growing? Any ideas? https://twitter.com/onurgenes

Hi @onurgenes, I took a visit to your profile. And I remembered that may be what you can do is more to become helpful to others. May be can answer other's question. (This can be an example).
I also tried to participate others, but I found that "helping others" as in answer their question yields the most direct result I could get.

Story: I contacted an old friend. We talked, and not long after, we talk about her problem. She had questions about career, and I just happen to offer her a solution, and also include mine (in your case, may be a community)

And I got 1 user signed up for that.

tweeting on yourself is useful, But don't forget to answer questions related to your aim at the moment

Hello Ricardo, thank you for your time and answer. Being helpful is a key, you are right. I am thinking about myself. I want to follow people who can post things related to my situation.

Another question: How can I find those people?

I saw your last tweets are about development stuff? (I guess that will be your audience, so probably you want to target dev people or techie people?)

You can try to go to @wesbos tweets or @adamwathan's to name a few. Find comments to their tweets which may have some unanswered questions. May be start from there?

This is a good advice. I will try to look at those tweets more deeply. I will try to share my journey.

I did same mistakes for years. In order to create a community, you need to research for their problems. If they need your solution, they will ask this question to google in the first place. So, where it becomes to the SEO. You have to write blog posts about your app answering the questions of your target community. Try to create 5-10 posts at least. And be sure that they are indexable by Google, Yandex, Bing etc.. Then, share these posts on related groups in Reddit.

Not related to your question but as a suggestion, personally, instead of using another page, I prefer to use your solution as a Chrome Extension without leaving the Twitter to send a tweet. Beside, I think your monetization is way more high than expected.

Thanks for the response. I don't know anything about SEO because I was a mobile only developer for a while but you might be right. I will try to learn this as well. If you can show me a path for this I will be grateful.

I have never done an extension but it might be useful. Pricing is related to change. I will try to A/B test it after launch.

    1. Your bio doesn't tell what kind of content I will get into my feed if I follow you.
      It should be clear like , "I tweet about X, Y n Z"

    2. You haven't made countless quality tweets yet.

    3. You aren't replying to people with 10K+ following enough.

    4. You're not following advices from the people you actually follow.
i.e. You follow Julian but you're not following his advices. Like this one, he shared just today. These are common advice to grow twitter shared by everyone

    1. It takes time. 2 months is nothing. Have patience. First year will be longest.

    2. One thing least talked about: "do great things outside of twitter "

PS: You've 145 followers now. And I would say even 100 followers should be enough to kickstart whatever business you want to build or sell. They just need to be true followers.
