What is your favorite platform to develop for?

For example, Wordpress is a huge platform with developers making themes and plugins. There's also Shopify, iOS, Android, etc. I know CloudFlare has the ability to install apps but I'm not sure how big the ecosystem is.

What is your favorite platform?

  1. 1

I'm a full stack web & mobile developer. I've worked with Java Enterprise servers, Laravel, Wordpress, Django, iOS, React, Angular and Node.js/Express. But by far the one platform that I love more than anything is Ruby on Rails.

  2. 1

I really enjoy web development although mobile with React Native is pretty fun to play around with. For web, I've found Next.js + Express + Postgres to work really well for me.

  3. 1

    I like Gatsby.js!

Easy, fast, good SEO and based on React. Also, I don't typically need to do super complex stuff, so static site generator is good for me.

  4. 1

Over the course of my development career, I have realized that the favorite platform, framework and language for me at any point of time is the one I'm working with my personal projects at that time.

Basically, I'm working on it outside of work because I like it and that's my favorite RIGHT NOW. It also provides a window to learn and grow. Most of the times, I have landed my next job/project based on that learning.

Right now, it is iOS development with SwiftUI. It is just so much fun.
