What is your first impression?
Hi,
I'm working right on a hobby project where users can predict the outcome of the next football (aka soccer) season in the german Bundesliga. It's all just for fun, so I'm not trying to make any money with it.
But more users = more fun - of course. SO I would like to hear about your opinion.
I'm quite unsure about the landing page and the whole page layout, because it looks like a standard themed website. On the other hand i'm not a webdesigner so there is a lack of skill to do a lot of fancy design stuff without using Bootstrap and a Materialize theme.
My target group is a football fan and active on twitter/social media/blogs or listening to podcasts. I'll contact some "influencers" and ask them to join the website and make a group for their channel. So I assume most of all users will come from this cosmos.

Can't really comment too much on content or navigation as I don't speak German, so hard to comment if current layout of data makes sense from a user perspective (is everything relevant to everyone and that stuff).
Styling-wise (also not a designer), not a huge fan of the strong gradient in the sidebar. I'd probably tone that down a bit and consider adding some color and sparkle to the icons of nav bar. I think most users would be football fans and have their own favourite teams, it might be good to provide a nice way to reach that team and show it with team branding and their chances to win etc.
