What is Your Kick?

This is essentially the only so-called “strategy” that I really have (via David Perell):

The internet rewards consistency. B+ content with A+ consistency is often a winning formula.

I publish content consistently. That’s kinda it. This is why raw intelligence really doesn’t mean much over the long-run if they can’t put it to consistent use.

Reminds me of Bruce Lee:

I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.

The question before each of each and every one of us is this: What is my kick? What discrete skill will I intentionally decide to work on for a very long time?

For me, I’ve decided that writing is one of those kicks. What about you?

Love this topic! Honestly speaking, I haven't been able to do one thing consistently as I'm more a generalist, doing bits of everything. Your post prompted me to think about discovering my kick! Thanks John.
