Currently a work in progress, duckboard is a customizable collaborative dashboard platform I'm working on for designers/devs/teams.

UI is in phase 2 of my work where I'm out of the wireframing stage and into the development phase of things.

Long term I'm hoping to build in a number of realtime collaborative features once I get the initial MVP out the door.

Follow me for more progress! I'll be putting up a newsletter soon enough

Is it specifically made for designers and dev teams?

If so then that could be a very valuable niche to go after...

Yep, very specifically built for designers and developers

Riches are in the niches, great stuff.

Any idea of how you are going to specifically market to them yet?

Combination of a few strategies here:

            • Affiliate marketing
            • Ad targeting (may use this approach once I get affiliate marketing in place and depending on how well that goes)
            • use existing twitter/social media base to bootstrap some beta users
            • Search indexing alerts on content related to some keywords I’m looking for in comments on different platforms (opportunity for replies and retargeting)

These are a few initial strategies. One will move prior to the other

With Portabella it started as an honest throwaway side project as an end-to-end encrypted todolist, I no longer have the site up but was a pretty cool weekend project, offline first, could sync between browsers if you had your recovery mnemonic.

It then morphed into a SaaS with kanban boards, realtime collaboration and features for teams. That's where I'm at now.

Long term is a similar product to Asana/Jira/Linear that includes more collaboration features like a calendar view, more charts and overall a slicker experience.

That's super cool to see the transition from a throwaway side project, to fully fletched out startup

Looking forward to seeing your end result

If you don't mind me asking is business going well for you? Many users?

        Thanks!

I worked at a privacy focused startup for 2ish years so I got a feel for the industry and wanted to do my own thing.

It's going pretty good, I hit a kind of inflection point recently where I'm now consistently getting one new sign up a day which is motivating.

If you want to check it out and let me know what you think I'd be super grateful.

        1. 2

What marketing channel are you using to get these "one a day sign ups"?

Sounds like you've really nailed a market...

Consistently posting on here and Twitter essentially. I've also been starting to post to Product Hunt but IH feels more personal.

    Example:

    MVP

    Currently in MVP mode.

Mean features - Automatically transform Youtube video into podcasts (and blogs), podcasts into blogs, and blogs into twitter threads.

    UI IS TERRIBLE.

MVP will be releasing in a few days/weeks depending on when you signed up here: https://www.spreadtech.online/

    ---

    Real Product

Not there yet but hope to reach it by the end of August.

    ---

    Dream Product

My dream vision for Spread is for any user to bring in one piece of content and come out with 10 more pieces of content, automated 99%. Blogs that are written by AI, social media uploaded and scheduled automatically, podcasts auto-created from every Youtube video you upload. From new tech such as Twitter voice and audiograms to basic old yet effective Twitter threads. Everything created on autopilot.

One day Spread will be the middle man in every piece of content on the internet.

This end goal is years away (3-4 max). But every penny Spread earns will be reinvested into making this a reality.

Let's hear about your product journey!!!
