What keeps you going every day?

For me, it's working on projects I love like pophurdle.com and some music on in the background!

And also doggos running like this....

Consistency and a solid routine. Especially when waking up and going to bed at the same time each day!!!

Yep. That's it. I would add:

      • Healthy eating habits
      • Doing some physical exercises
      • Enjoying the process
  2. 4

I crave meaning. I want to make a difference. I want to have an impact. I want to create tomorrow. I know I am full of potential and want to unleash it. Oh yeah, and doggos for sure. :D

  3. 4

    Passion for personal freedom

I follow money twitter and it turned my twitter feed into rock solid motivation platform.

I need to do this lol

  5. 3

motivation is deeply personal - for me tho - I grind to lift myself up and create a better lifestyle. Music in the background is essential.

Music plays a huge role, I agree ! Could you share some of your fav' "work" music ? Could be great to discover new sounds !

Thanks and have fun with pophurdle (I added it to my Chrome 🙏🏻)

Thanks for the install! Id say it depends on the task, but if its a really important one I gravitate towards non lyrical! But sometimes things from Dan Deacon and others slip in from all categories.

      1. 1

Non-lyrical leads you to this bright-eyed and bushy-tailed state, even if bpm are low, I agree 🙌🏻

Thanks for Dan Beacon, didn’t know him.

        Give it a shot to « Rone » : https://open.spotify.com/album/0gsKWYzmxZ83Ew4N0XLcz1?si=J70kr1FXR9GTf7m3oMtUFg

One probably needs to stack multiple things on top of each other and I do agree it's super person and Vey confusing cause for example movement and progress are easily confused with each other.
If you tend to get overwhelmed, stuck, procrastinating, I'd recommended GTD for brains dump and org.
If it's the inconcictency, wild productivity shift where the downs are just 0, put the presure on of having to show up and report on a given frequency or get serious about "bad first drafts"
"Bad first drafts" can also help if you're having a problem starting.

Think about people or things that are more important for you then yourself. And how this needs to happen for them.

Find some of your current triggers if it's like a question about your age
Or songs that get you going

Stack up your phisical area for work

Have something to switch between that gets you sucked back in. Like while not working I chat on IH of read/watch about start-ups

Find you weak spots and reduce them. Control your unproductive time like games, social, rest, vids to what you feel is a good balance for you "dopamine" wise..

Remember what your up against. What's the alternative?

Talk about what your doing, even if it feels your talking to yourself and I say talking in the broad sense, you can write with or without people reading

Switch modes for example on the business vs in the business. Coding vs marketing vs research.. try to look at your business from different views, angle, perspectives, pretend your a different person.

    Take the breaks you need.
Be flexible it does have to be an office on the clock, pretend your working by clockwatch. Find your personal flow.

Low brain tasks let you keep thinking at times even more efficiently.

Find something you enjoy with the proceess, that's personal if it's the people, a specific task type, or some process like shipping or showing it off or something.

Don't be doing a thing be the person type that does the thing. Like don't be just doing a run every X, be the runner. Like incorporate the sub persona of this is me. Part of my identity. There is no question what this persona does.

It's definitely the 'why' I do what I do. It's my compass for when I am tired, or lost or faith is down. I balance that with workouts, meditation and family time. Gives me the required boost each and every day!

  10. 1

believing so much that what you do can positively impact other peoples' lives and having an incredible urge to talk to everyone about their challenges with this regard

  11. 1

    I'm gonna be honest.

To pay off my monthly fixed expenses and a loan. Aside from that I really want to build a recurring income / passive income.

strange as it seems ... by keeping expectations at bay. When I have low or no expectations, my productivity skyrockets, when I have high expectations productivity plummets. It's a paradox.

  13. 1

Exercising my creativity (and working towards my goals.)

    Haha love your gif, amazing.

For me it's the cool comments I receive on my blog; https://daily-dev-tips.com/
The tech branche is so cool when it comes to giving feedback.

Otherwise, my Fiancé and doggo loving me so much.

Might not be super uplifting but I’d say it’s lack of alternatives... what else am I suppose to do? Without curiosity, constant learning and experimentation this life is boring... so I guess I can just push forward and hope for the best.
