I’m researching a problem in B2B prospecting.
Teams source leads through databases, LinkedIn, manual research, and spreadsheets. But before outreach, it is often unclear what evidence is enough to trust a lead record.
For example:
I created a short anonymous survey about lead sourcing, verification, and decision-making before outreach.
It takes around 2 minutes. No name or email is required.
I’m looking for honest workflow feedback to decide what to improve next.
The distinction between a lead being deliverable and being trustworthy is an interesting one. Curious what patterns you’re seeing from the survey responses so far.
It’s still early, so the sample is too small for me to claim a reliable pattern yet.
The clearest theme so far is that deliverability alone does not answer whether a lead is trustworthy enough for outreach. Source traceability, matching identity and company details, and a clear way to separate “approved” from “needs review” seem to matter as well.
I’m especially interested in where teams draw that line today. What evidence would you personally want to see before contacting a lead?
That’s a useful distinction. I’d be interested to hear how the pattern develops as the sample gets larger. Happy to continue the conversation outside IH too — what’s the best email to reach you at?
Thanks — I’d be happy to continue the conversation and share what I learn as the sample grows.

Thanks! I’ve just sent it over.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts whenever you have a chance.
