What makes you stop and actually read a job posting?
I love reading job listings. I'm not hunting for a job, but I just love poking around and seeing what's out there. I also tend to be inspired by them when I'm creating listings of my own. I decided to start a substack newsletter where I share one awesome job posting every day (https://bestjob.substack.com/) and would love to know what makes you stop and read an entire listing, or what makes a posting stand out from the pack.
There's two things I look for; 1) have a salary indication, and 2) be brutally honest about the role. As such I do not want to hear about all fancy tech they're using. I want to read about the culture, process, goals, priorities and so on. Added bonus is when they provide reasonable expectations regarding prior experience.
With the frequency I see them I doubt there's many companies that have these in order.
