What makes you trust a new AI tool enough to pay for it? (+ early beta invite)

Hey Indie Hackers! After 40+ years working behind the scenes in IT, I'm finally taking the plunge and building something of my own.

After a long career in IT (coding and database development), I'm now diving full-time into building AI-powered applications.

I'm currently working on an AI tool that helps small business owners and solopreneurs get faster, more accurate answers from their own private documents — things like contracts, proposals, customer notes, training manuals, and more.

Before I go too far, I’d love to hear from this community:
When you come across a brand-new AI tool, what makes you actually trust it enough to open your wallet?
