What marketing team do in a startup?

We are the team that consist of students. As development team we have highly enough experience but we dont have any experience with marketing. What we can do? What we should do? How we can educate our marketing team that consist of student. What process we need to track? Our team have very perfect motivation. They can work along 10 hours nonstop.
