What marketing tools would you want for FREE

I relistened to the Instapainting interview (probably for the 3rd time) yesterday, and I find it so interesting due to Chris' less conventional ways of approaching SEO and content marketing.

I want to take a similar approach by building free marketing tools to drive more traffic to the site and get backlinks.

So, my question is, what free marketing tools would you want?

We recently released free social media analytics reports.
Just click 'View My Analytics'

We also curated a collection of top companies' social media analytics so you can see what performs best for them and maybe shape your marketing strategy around that. Click the 'Insights' tab on an analytics report to see what type of content their audience responds to.

Other ideas I had:

  • Content Topic Generator (enter a phrase and it will come up with blog ideas that are related)
  • Meta Tag Checker (Show preview for each social media platform and ensure all the correct meta tags are there)
  • Embeddable Social Follower Analytics (a js snippet that embeds your follower trend for the past 30-days as a graph.. not sure if anyone would want this?)

The free marketing tool I’d use most is a keyword intent mapper. Give it a topic and location, and have it show what people are looking for and what kind of page would answer them. I’ve spent time writing posts only to realise the topic needed a comparison or service page instead. A content gap checker would be a close second, especially if it could spot posts on my own site that overlap. An internal linking tool that shows *where* to add a useful link would save me a lot of manual work too. For any of these, the key is a clear next step. I’d rather see “these two posts overlap; review them for a possible merge” than get a long report with another score to interpret.

Has anyone had success with this style of content marketing?

      Hey @RyanB !

This link - https://cloudcampaign.io/analytics, seems to give an error "Failed to Load Necessary Resource", thought I'd give a heads up 😉

        Thanks @JulianSamarjiev !

I remember someone else had that issue in the past. Their ad blocker was blocking one of my requests for whatever reason.

If you're still getting that error, can you check to see which request is getting blocked? Thanks a ton!

Still getting the error, sent you a screenshot via email 👍
