What newsletters do you recommend?

I aggregated newsletter recommendations from Indie Hackers and Hacker News and created a simple web app out of it called Rad Letters.

Looking for some feedback on it before I build it out any further. Is there anything you think would make this more useful? I have an easy one question survey to answer if so ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

If you have any newsletter recommendations let me know! I'll add it to the list.

btw the submission box for selecting a newsletter topic is a bit small if selecting multiple topics

Thanks for the suggestions! A few of them are on there already, including yours actually ๐Ÿ‘ but I'll be sure to add the rest. Let me know if you want me to change the image or topics for yours.

I can definitely make the topic box bigger, good call!

Hey Marcel, feel free to add Zero to Marketing to your list ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. 2

This looks cool! Someone on IH few weeks ago asked about this concept were you would collect interesting newsletter in one place and I am on board! Will search for something interesting to join.

In the mean time, I would love to have my newsletter on there ๐Ÿ˜‰

Definitely! Benas Digital, right? Any preference on the image and topics associated with it?

      1. 1

Yeah. Here is a link: https://benasdigital.com/

I do have an image on "about" and "subscribe" page, so you can use that and topics fall under marketing, entrepreneurship, business.

        Thank you, Marcel!

This is going to sound nuts, and I make no endorsement for the author, but Louis C.K's newsletter is absolutely bonkers.

  10. 1

Came to recommend http://tldrmarketing.com but saw itโ€™s already on there ๐Ÿคฉ thanks

      Sure thing!

I write a newsletter 200+ editions deep about the relationship between productivity and self-care: Work Brighter

  12. 1

Gonna do a bit of self promotion here because I haven't so far :P

I went to submit my own newsletter but it didn't really fit into any of the topics. It's called Al Dente and its all about becoming better at cooking. I try to focus on techniques rather than recipes, and I usually include food science with it to help people understand why things happen like they do.

    1. 1

Looks interesting! Added the "Food" and "Cooking" topics with your newsletter ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ

Can I shamelessly promote the one I just launched? Launch Personal Finance (LaunchPF.com), a daily curation focused on personal finance and financial independence.

    1. 2

For sure ย ๐Ÿ‘ added it!

        Thanks!

I send a weekly email with email marketing tips and insight.

These are the topics Iโ€™ve shared so far:

    • How I grew an email travel series from 0 to 500K subscribers

    • How to create custom tracking links and buttons within your emails to survey your subscribers and automatically add custom properties to their profiles based on what they selected

    • Mothers Day swipe file we put together and used/will be using for all our clients.

    • What makes a perfect welcome series (w/subject line ideas, email examples, open rates to aim for, and so on)

Hereโ€™s the Typeform to subscribe if youโ€™re interested: https://chasedimond.typeform.com/to/bRBkzR

Added! Hope you don't mind that I used the picture of you and your dog on twitter ๐Ÿ˜†

      1. 1

        Haha thatโ€™s perfect! Thank you!

    Just a thought!

So many sites that aggregate newsletters use topics as categories. Can you organize a few business newsletters based on point in lifecycle?

    • Pre Launch: Everything you need to know about building and finding product market fit
    • Marketing: The best newsletters to market your product or service.
    • Growth: Get more users
    • Funding: Looking to get funding for a seed or pre-seed, here's some great newsletters to follow.

Not sure those would be the exact categories. but I'm always scratching my head why nobody does this.

    1. 1

Interesting idea! I have the "Marketing", "Growth", and "Venture Capital" topics which are related, and a "Business" category for a catch-all. I'm not sure yet if I want to niche down and only make this for business type of newsletters. Right now I'm keeping it open to a bit of a mix, but with an audience in mind. Definitely something to consider though.

    2. 1

Interesting way to look at it. And makes sense.

    1. 1

Added! Thanks for all the recommendations!

      1. 1

Hey no problem, it was just a quick scan of my newsletter inbox anyway. Btw it's great to see you adding all the recommendations to the website.
