What parts of Indy Hacking make you feel most afraid?

Chatting with some folks and have noticed a few common things that people are afraid of:

  • refunds and cancellations
  • unsubscribers
  • negative feedback
  • launching something nobody wants

What about you? What else?

    Opportunity cost for everything.

Basically am i working on the right things at the right time.

This. There are a thousand things I could be spending my time on. Is this the right thing? One way I blunt this worry is by focusing on every effort as an opportunity for learning. Everything you do in life is training for the next thing.

Oh yeah that's a good one.

As someone working on e-commerce sector, I think I'm more afraid of refunds & cancellations. I'm building a marketplace for Black Makers that sells fashions and accessories and it's not easy to deal with angry customers.

Another is that launching something nobody wants... I used to think about it a lot but from my personal experiences, you need to be talking about that thing a lot so people will start loving it.

Ah, so you've got two layers to worry about: the makers, and their customers. Right?

Any other worries besides the ones I suggested?

        Yeah you got it right.

As somebody who did not launch his product yet, I am really afraid of "plagiarism allegations". I am currently building a product and find some similarities to other IH's products which keep holding me back from "building in public". Haven't really figured out how to overcome that fear.

Interesting - can you say more?

Judging from his location my big guess is, among other things: VATMOSS

          👏👏

          Tack Marcus,
VATMOSS and the fear of doing it wrong... I should say @alexhillman

    "launching something nobody wants"

    Everytime.

Doing my second product now and even though the first one went really well I still have exactly the same worries while building our MVP for our next product.
