With Invitation.codes, I gather data on 1,000+ programs and learned a few things. The popularity greatly vary by industry, the nature of the product, and the rewards offered.
In my case, it's driving in my best users. They know the product is working for their friends, so they want in, and they have an extra $20 signup bonus.
Most referral software worth the trouble are ridiculously expensive, so it's really worth evaluating the success of this channel before investing dev or budget in a campaign.

But my post wasn't clear. I was talking about SaaS to SaaS referrals. Do you have that kind of partnerships?
