What questions do you have after reading our Landing Page?

Hi IndieHackers!

https://metametrics.io is my co-founder and my first company. We are both engineers by trade and are super excited to branch out and learn everything it takes to be a successful bootstrapper :)

We really appreciate any feedback you could give about the messaging on our landing page.

Thanks!

I made a video response because 1 video is worth a 1000 words.
Hope this makes sense to you @mroll
    P.S. Video wise: It's harsh!

    Hey @mroll

If you want someone to REALLY WANT someone to sign up, here's what we need to answer:

    1. What metrics can I track?

    2. Why kind of results can I get once I know where my developers spend their time?

    3. How is this going to affect my workflow?

I have a feeling that this would be EXTREMELY useful but you're not really quantifying the full value of identifying recurring bugs, where they spend their time and so on...

If you answer these questions you'll blow everyone away and generate demand...

If you don't they will be like "hmm... cool. Maybe I'll try it later".

    Does this make sense?

@pedrocortes Yes that makes sense! I think we are still figuring out how to make our message more clear and make it obvious what you will get and why that is useful. Your points have given us some things to think about that will get us closer to that goal.

      Many thanks!

    • how it's allocated and what happens.. these don't connect in the text, also don't think the allocate is relevant.
    • Placeholders aren't useful cat1, cat2, cat3, cat4, cat5, don't teach me anytime, don't help me see the vision (areas and cust)
    • So all I get from the page is this is something for dev. agencies, and reflects some stats back from GitHub. IDK what or what would I use it for, or how you translate projects to customers let's say, or if I care about this vs actual time accounting and invoicing and such... Maybe for really large agencies?..

@hatkyinc Yes, I think you are right that the placeholders just don't get across what these metrics will do for you. That's something we will for sure change in the next iteration.

And yes, it has become clear to us that the "how it's allocated" and "see trends" don't connect well.

      Thank you for the feedback!

'Discover and track emerging trends in your Github repository' - not understanding how this is related to the title 'How do you allocate your engineering team's time?'

Thanks for the reply! Yeah we have realized - thanks to feedback like yours :) - that those two things are not obviously related. We are updating our top-level messaging for the next iteration of the landing page.
