Brief communication or the curse of knowledge (bias) can cause a lot of damage. I wonder what's your formula to avoid miscommunication.
Understand the audience and their skill level. Avoid jargon. Keep it simple.
Get them to repeat your points in their own words. Make it a conversation. Encourage questions.
Don’t make them so lost that they don’t even know what questions to ask.
How about sharing the why of your intention. Allow the person you are communicating with to understand your approach by bridging an empathy with them. So share your knowledge about how it could help them and why you are struggling.
