What’s your Sign Up flow?

One of my next steps on listoliby.com is to add user accounts.

👉 I’m wondering how your sign up flows look like?

  • Do you use a framework for user sign ups or have you built it yourself?
  • How do you handle logins via google, FB, twitter, apple etc.?
  • Do they have to confirm their email address before continuing on your app?
  • Do you immediately add them to your mailing list?

📊 For those of you with many users already:
Is there one login method more used than others? (I think since a few months sign up with apple might have spiked?)

    • Definitely using a framework or more specifically a AuthN Saas product like Authress or Auth0.
    • Same answer as ^
    • Yes? We don't use username-password login and always federated. And those federated logins already have users verified.
    • Yes and No. We add them to a ~3 email flow for onboarding. But that's it. If they want further emails like "product updates" those are opt-in.

We find Google login to be the most frequently used.

      Thank you @wparad :)
I think I will try out Auth0. It seems like the perfect candidate to begin with.

Auth0 has been around for a while, but not sure they have been innovating in the last 3 years. Honestly have used in the in the past and definitely delivered, but due to limitations with permissions and the cost of service clients, it's something that we've stopped using.
