What scares you right now?

Entrepreneurship is can be a scary and lonely journey. I feel it's important that those of us on that path understand this and face it instead of ignore it. And what better place to do that here, on IndieHackers?

So, what scares you right now?

For me, straying from the beaten path is more scary than I'd like to admit. While my peers are building stable careers sometimes it feels I'm making life harder for myself than I need to. But I know I would never trade my startup for their jobs :)

I'm scared of settling and getting stuck in the 9-5 grind.
Im also scared of not living up to my full potential

I feel like your fears are shared by a lot of, if not most, entrepreneurs around the world. A very valid "fear" that drives me to wake up every morning and grind it out even when things seem bleak and difficult :)

That when you fail, you'll be the loneliest person on the web… but if you succeed you'll probably have more "friends" than you'll ever need. 😅

It is deep but also scary. 😜

      Very deep 🤔

The internet has fostered many extremes when it comes to success and popularity. Reminds me of a great chapter in Zero to One where Peter Thiel discusses exponential success.

    Death :)
It's a good motivator to get off my ass and build something so I can enjoy my life to the fullest though.

Haha death is always a great motivator.

      It's the ultimate "deadline / due-date" of life :)
