What service do you use to quickly spin up landing pages to validate an idea?

I'm looking for a service where I can quickly develop a landing page for an idea.

Any recommendations for a service, or perhaps a relatively inexpensive freelancer that can handle this?

Just wanted to put my input in as well. I was using carrd for my company but didn't like that it was limited to one page. I switched to versoly.com and liked it a lot. Made the website for ottofield.io using versoly.com :)

The founders @volkandkaya were really high touch when I was using the product, even before I started paying. Bonus is that you are helping another indie hacker when you use versoly.

Hi, just to throw in another alternative, I started using carrd.co and I am very happy with it. The usability is pretty easy and you can put something up very fast. Can't compare it to the other ones mentioned though since I haven't tried them.

If you're comfortable with React and need the extra flexibility that code can offer then https://divjoy.com might work well for you. For hosted solutions carrd.co is my favorite.

I recently just grabbed a free front end template. Copy and pasted the HTML into a wordpress article and overwrote the css of the default theme. At least that way I can adjust things if I feel it needs it. Plus it’s free.

      You have free wordpress hosting?

Ah, forgot about that detail! No I dont

From what I have seen with Wp you get what you pay for.

Most companies that do well end up having to pay $30+ a month on hosting

I think that's a safe assumption. Price-wise, I pay a lot less than that though. Check out NameCheap. They have a one-click Wordpress installer as well (not just on the hosted WP plan)

There are tons of landing page editors out there. Unless you have a very specific requirement it does not matter too much which one you pick. https://www.leadpages.net/ and https://www.clickfunnels.com/ are popular in certain groups. But Wix, Squarespace and Webflow are working just as well in simple cases. Bubble.io gives you most of the flexibility with the cost of a steeper learning curve. And many IH members develop similar products.

Do these tools have a free plan? As a programmer I generally create one of my own using some templates but would like to give some of these tools a try.

If you create one of your own templates and need a place to host it, checkout what I built: https://tiiny.host - might be useful :)

Yes, most of them have a free plan.

Mailchimp has a landing page builder that's really easy to use.

Check out webflow.com, it is pretty easy to create high-quality landing pages.

        Unfortunately, I'm not.

Interesting, I see comments like https://twitter.com/bennydigital_/status/1219027224663248896 and not sure what to make of it

It depends on what you are looking for. If you want customization options and are comfortable with basic HTML concepts (you don't need to write code, but understanding HTML concepts helps).

Personally, I'm a fan of webflow, but you might need to be a bit more involved.

Elementor on wordpress... Mainly because both my design and development team are experienced with wordpress from client work, can through together a landing page in very little time. Also its seo friendly, loads of plugins for all the feedback/analytics/conversion goals.

Carrd is the cheapest option and a good solution for a basic landing page.

If you're creating a landing page for a SaaS or anything with recurring revenue you can try https://versoly.com/

Our builder is one if not the best on the market.

We also have great support :)

Some of the most used ones are: Tilda, Readymag and Webflow.

Last one is most powerful but with higher learning curve

Hey @OStirbu you seem to use a lot of builders, if you get a chance I would love your feedback on https://versoly.com/ :)

Any feedback you give will most likely be implemented quickly if it fits the product road map.

I think https://tilda.cc/?r=1733885 is the best balance between simplicity, functionality, beauty and cost
