What service do you use to run your newsletter/weekly digest?

Hey IH's!

Daniel here, I'm currently trying to figure out what's the best way for me to run a weekly digest type of newsletter for my product. I've tried buttondown.email & substack and didn't really like any of them, can't really explain why which is interesting.

Would love to hear about what services yall are using for your newsletter:)

I use emailoctopus for unicornsfeed.com. with custom template.

Did you have a look to hashnode.com? Is great too.

I've been trying to find more details about creating a custom template for emailoctopus. Do you have a resource for this?

        Well, there's many resources like:

What I did was to get a template from Email Love and adapt it to my needs and taste.

Converkit, Email Octopus or Ghost are popular options.

I’m using Ghost and ConvertKit together. I wanted the ability to customize the home page of the newsletter which is why I chose Ghost. ConvertKit provides a ton of automation features and analytics that Ghost doesn’t have yet.

Also, Ghost doesn’t charge any transaction fees for their membership feature.

For GrowthMarketer Weekly, I use ActiveCampaign.

I'm starting my newsletter soon, all the setup is done. I'm using Convertkit. Also heard good things about MailerLite.

If you're curating links to content, check out Revue. I use it for InboxReads and it makes it really easy to add links and organise it. It's not very customizable though.

Postcards (https://designmodo.com/postcards/) to create the emails and then straight into Convertkit

For my curated roundup newsletter I use Revue and shared my publishing process in a blog post.
