What surprised me after a few weeks of sharing my SaaS publicly

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been sharing my small SaaS (BusinessAdBooster) here and on a few other platforms.

I expected feedback about features.

What I didn’t expect was this:

👉 People care way more about clarity than capability.

Some things I noticed:

  • Most visitors don’t ask “what does it do?”
They ask “is this for someone like me?”

  • The biggest drop-off happens before users even try the tool

  • Explaining who it’s NOT for helped more than adding features

  • Posts about learnings get more engagement than product updates

It made me rethink how I talk about the product:
Less “AI-powered SEO”
More “Here’s the exact problem this solves”

Still figuring things out, but this shift already feels healthier.

Curious —
what was the biggest messaging mistake you made early on while building?
