Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been sharing my small SaaS (BusinessAdBooster) here and on a few other platforms.
I expected feedback about features.
What I didn’t expect was this:
👉 People care way more about clarity than capability.
Some things I noticed:
Most visitors don’t ask “what does it do?”
They ask “is this for someone like me?”
The biggest drop-off happens before users even try the tool
Explaining who it’s NOT for helped more than adding features
Posts about learnings get more engagement than product updates
It made me rethink how I talk about the product:
Less “AI-powered SEO”
More “Here’s the exact problem this solves”
Still figuring things out, but this shift already feels healthier.

what was the biggest messaging mistake you made early on while building?
