What surprised me after launching my AI travel budgeting tool

One week after launching TripPilot I learned something interesting.

People didn’t question the accuracy of the estimates.

They questioned whether they could trust them enough to make decisions.

That changed how I think about the product.

I’m now focusing less on “predicting” the exact cost of a trip and more on modeling realistic expectations.

Clear assumptions.
Ranges instead of single numbers.
Real example trips.

It turns out travel planning is not really about inspiration.

It’s about decision clarity.

Curious if anyone here has experienced the same trust problem when building AI products.
