What the hell is a niche?

Just published this, and I’m super proud of it. More than that, though, I think it's legit important for anyone who wants to understand how the “creator economy” works, and how to succeed within it.

After talking with a bunch of creators over the last few months, I figured out why the ubiquitous advice to “find your niche” is so frustrating. There’s no common definition of niches that we all share, so everyone’s talking about something different.

Anyhow, this piece will hopefully solve this problem, lead to a collective shared understanding of niches, and break us free from the linguistic, conceptual hellscape we’ve all been living in.
