What to do with a web app once the hype dies down.

Hi,

So myself and a friend built a little web app recently and without any marketing it got picked up pretty and generally well received. I submitted it to a single website gallery and from there it snowballed onto other galleries and then someone hunted it for Product Hunt.

The hype was around 2 weeks, but then after those two weeks, what do you do? Not many people are not viewing the places it got picked up on as it's old content. Web apps do not pick up SEO points as it's a single landing page with restricted app front-end. A blog is the only thing that could get picked up, but there isn't really anything to write about.

What do you do once the hype dies down? Retained users are the ones that have used the app and they enjoy it and we can engage with those via email newsletters. However, it's continuing to get the new users without the organic marketing that the app was launched with.

Thanks,
Tom

P.S, App in question is GoGigify; A personalised gig listings app

You could start a Twitter account or an Instagram account and have it auto post shows for different cities. I bet people would follow city-specific Instagram accounts.

    Think SeattleGigify, LondonGigify, etc...
