My launch failed today, they didn't feature me even if I got 350 upvotes for 5th place. But I am looking forward to that juicy backlink!
From my experience a spike in traffic to your site, but not necessarily an amazing conversion rate for your product. A lot of people will uplift your project via comments/likes. So you'll get more visibility but not to be conflated with all those people checking out your product and creating an account or logging in and trying it out.
This was just my experience, but a larger user base could lead to a larger amount of people trying your product.
