I have a service I am running where I provide my subscribers (over 1.5K) with free content. I did it for 10 weeks then decided to ask for a sale but nobody bit. What do I do now?
Ask them why!
Maybe on an anonymous external form so they are more honest.
Also try to get them to expand on what their problem is.
Maybe it's just the price, but maybe there's something deeper to correct about your positioning, or about your connection to the audience.
This. Send them an easy to respond to survey and see if you can find any common concerns.
Also, in the email, be genuine and up front with why you are asking for their feedback. Hopefully that will encourage them to take the time to fill out the survey
I will try that because I get about 10 emails every day saying how this is the best thing still slice bread, but nobody responded to the selling email :-/
First things first - is your payment piece working correctly? Check that before you do anything. Can someone actually get through the process if they wanted to?
If that is all set, I would create a new subject line and resend the email to those that did NOT open the previous one.
Additionally it's important to warm up your leads with a couple of valuable content emails hinting at the feature/product that is on it's way. Then they are more likely to be willing to buy when the offer is made.
I didn't make any sales on ipdata.co for the first month. Then made $1000 in sales in a day. Patience padawan :)
