What tools do you use to create product videos?
Hey guys,
I'm looking at creating a features video for my product, similar to the one from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=me0_4ZAYFTE or this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mo_802xujzQ
Can you recommend any free software to achieve something like this easily? Preferably for Mac.
If so, can you also share a video you've made for your product with the recommended software?

QuickTime has a video recording function where you can set your own boundary box.
After that I’d use Adobe After effects, but I’m sure there’s some free video editing programs you could put the recording into.
It seems Apple might have all the tools needed for the job. QuickTime for screen recording, Keynote for simple transition animations and iMovie for quick video editing.
I'm not sure if it will work, but it just might. If it doesn't, I'll look into After Effects. I see it's quite the beast.
I was going to mention Keynote, sounds like a plan.
Camtasia and Screenflow. If you want more interaction: Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate (these are both great for tutorials and quizzes, especially when hooked up to a Moodle server on a Linux distro).
Powtoon is killer for the digital whiteboard/cartoon-style vids., but it's a subscription service.

Thank you for all of these suggestions! They look really cool, especially Powtoon. Unfortunately, they're a bit out of my budget range at the moment and seem to have a higher learning curve.
For what I have in mind I believe they are a bit overkill, but have noted them down if other simpler solution don't do the job.
