What tools or services do you use to ensure your content has no spelling mistakes?
How do you ensure the content you write (blog, documentation, user-facing text) doesn't have syntaxes or grammatical mistakes?
I was never good at writing in my language (French), and it's even worse in English.
I spend a lot of time re-reading my content or using tools like Grammarly but ultimately can't tell if there are any leftover mistakes.
Readers usually don't report if they find mistakes in your content, but I'm sure it leaves them with a bad impression.
Is there other software you use, or do you occasionally hire a proofreading service?
I sometimes use Google and paste a whole sentence hoping someone wrote the same thing. It works okay-ish on simple or small phrases, but I never get a result if I'm writing something too specific.
Maybe you have other techniques?
One thing I always try to do is read whatever I write out loud. I've found it much more effective at catching any spelling/grammar mistakes than just proofreading. If you can get someone else to read over your writing before you publish it, that helps even more. It's easy to know what you're trying to convey because you wrote it, but having that second pair of eyes helps you catch anything you might've quickly glossed over.
