What user onboarding experiences have knocked your socks off?

Hi all!

I'm getting ready to build out the onboarding experience for a chrome extension that I'm working on.

I'm looking for some stellar user onboarding experiences I can learn from.

What onboarding experiences have you really loved and why? Doesn't have to be a chrome extension specifically.

Here are a couple that I've appreciated for their simplicity and immediate value props:

  1. Brilliant - It's quick (4 steps) and summarizes what I can expect from their platform.

  2. Duolingo - I'm able to complete a full language lesson before even signing up. In order to save my progress, I'm directed to sign up. At this point, I've
already experienced the value of the app and am excited to create an account

    Hey Darlene!

I follow and have subscribed to https://growth.design/

Once or twice in a month they dig deep in onboarding experiences from big companies.

    Hope you find it helpful.

Awesome resource. Thanks for sharing! I love the format they use for their case studies.

    Hi Darlene,

I agree with @Shalvi, https://growth.design/ is a great source. I especially liked the review of the Superhuman User Onboarding—it blew my mind.

Older, but still relevant and opinionated, you can find more teardowns on https://www.useronboard.com/

More recently, I started to break down and share onboarding experiences from B2B SaaS products I like. One that recently stood me out was the Linear onboarding flow.
Enticing, educational, productive, with delightful UI details. For me, it was an instant Wow effect: https://speakerdeck.com/fmerian/linear-user-onboarding-magic-feeling-in-7-steps

Personally don't have any but check out https://mobbin.design/ - lots of great apps with onboarding screenshots.
