What was a favorite Backend project of yours?

Hey IHers!

As the title indicates, what was a favorite Backend project of yours?

For context, I'm relatively new to SWE (web) with ~2 years of professional experience in full-stack roles and want to dive deeper into the backend world.

My previous and current company projects have primarily been frontend-focused ranging from building UI library components to building internal and external tools -- with little expectation that will be changing for some time, I'm planning to work on personal projects to see what I can teach myself about the backend world.

The question is quite subjective in regards to what "favorite" and what "backend" means to you, but I'm interested in hearing the range of possible answers :-).

What was a favorite Backend project of yours? Was there a project that taught you a lot? Was there a project that was challenging but provided a lot of value for you?

Thanks a bunch for reading (and potentially answering!)

My first project was my favorite :) A simple CRUD app. I started running FB ads to it and was excited when I started seeing the usage graph go up.

Thanks for sharing zerotousers :-) It's always a rewarding feeling when people start getting use out of your work. I can only imagine that feeling for a personal project!

Would you be open to sharing what was the CRUD app that you built?
