What will be your tech stack in 2022?

Have you decided on your tech stack? Are you staying with what you used until now or trying something new?

Most of my ideas have a pretty interactive frontend so I end up using React.

Otherwise I would leverage nocode tools.

I prototype with Elixir + Phoenix LiveView since it’s so productive and scalable. Recently, I’ve also been writing more and more Golang and Rust since they’re so popular for blockchain cores.

My wish is to write my next app entirely in Scala. So, Play framework or http4s on the backend (with Postgres db) and Scalajs/Laminar on the frontend.

    Probably something like..

    1. Backend with Nest.js, Auth0, Prisma, Prostgres, hosted on Heroku
    2. Frontend with Next.js, TailwindCSS, HeadlessUI, hosted on Vercel.

Definitely not as straightforward as a Rails app, but I'm proficient with Javascript/Typescript so it's faster and I have most of the parts reusable already.

If I have to build a product from 0 to 1, this what I will choose

    1. Firebase - Authentication / IAM
    2. RestAPI - Nodejs/Django (Based on Resource Availability)
    3. Frontend - React + Redux+Saga
    4. Design System - Antd
    5. Database - SQL (Postgress Hosted) / NoSQL (Firestore from Firebase)
    6. CI/CD - Github Actions + Docker + Google Cloud Run
    7. Cloud - GCP
