What would you change?

Just launched a new landing page to get new beta users for a Recruiting CRM that we've been building for the last couple months.

Here's the landing page: https://www.joincliq.com/

Thoughts on how I could improve the visuals, copy, or anything else?

I would echo the feedback on the scrolling navigation. I tend to avoid scroll hijacking as it provides more friction than benefit usually. Also try to always have a call to action button or email signup form on every page if you continue with this layout.

I'm not in your target audience, but from a content perspective I would focus more on the customer's problems and how you're helping rather than just the product features. This is something I'm guilty of (still) but slowly getting better at. I'm reading "Building a StoryBrand" right now and its packed with good landing page advice.

Thank you @awestbro! It does feel very easy to "lean against the features" especially in the earliest stages of releasing the product. I've taken this feedback to heart and will definitely relook at the landing page from the customer pain points perspective because I think that's more helpful.

Ps. I just queued up Building a StoryBrand. Thank you for that suggestion as well!

Really awesome already, Stuart! I love the scrolling, like the minimal setup! 1. Indication where to scroll, i was confused. I need to have an arrow, that is it. 2. I would love to see the tool in action. For example, showing a life version of the product and seeing how it works. 3. The Chrome bar is nice. I would love to download it. Maybe a download button? Cheers

I'm not sure if I like the scrolling style. No indicators and it takes me a lot of scrolls just to go the next section. There were even times that I'm not sure if my mouse is working because there's a delay on page transition. Personally, the value proposition does not resonate with me because I'm not your target audience anyway. But i really like the way its looks. Nice and clean visually.

RE: Scrolling — That all makes sense. I need something to help the user understand there's a transition and more sections to the website, but it causes some weird friction between sections. Definitely going to make some adjustments on that since you're not the only one who shares the same sentiment.

      Thanks for your input @aaronjix07!

Personally not a fan of the restricted scroll. If you do want to keep it suggest speeding up the transition time and adding an indictor to help signpost what is going on. I've seen sites use s series of horizontal dots to do this.

Thanks for the feedback, @jamesfmac. The restricted scroll seems to be consistently frustrating for people, so I'm definitely going to change that. Seems like a smooth scroll and tightening up the content or adding some sort of indicators (e.g. dots) is a better approach.

    • I realize for a lot of us scrolling is obvious, but it may not be for others. It's not clear when the content ends
    • The logo on top left is barely discernible.
    • I think a splash of color (maybe accents) would go a long way!

Thanks, @raheelahmad! The first two points are definitely noted. I'm going to make adjustments to those. And, the splash of color is an interesting thought. I want it to feel minimalist, but a little more color might make it feel like it has a bit more life.

I'm not sure how I'm navigating the page; I like the really clean look, but it's a bit disorienting, I think I'm browsing by scrolling up and down, but there is no indicator of where I'm at. Also, what makes your product different from other CRM?

RE: Navigation — I definitely need to make adjustments to this. And, I agree it's slightly disorienting. My idea is to add a smooth scroll and tighten up the content a bit so that users know to continue scrolling down the page.

RE: CRM — It's purely focused on serving external/3rd party recruiting teams. At their core, most CRM's are similar, but we are going niche in order to serve some of the nuances of external recruiting that I don't feel have been addressed by other CRM's. We're connecting the platform with services that the typical user is already intimately familiar with including GSuite and LinkedIn. It's also much more light weight than other CRM's built for Agency recruiters. There are certainly competitors out there and the solution isn't completely original, but I do feel this particular market is under-addressed in recruiting (as opposed to internal recruiting teams).

It looks like you've enabled smooth scroll, it's better, I wonder if there's a place you could put some dots on the page to differentiate between pages and show when you're getting to the end. I'm imagining something like those carousel dots, but vertical instead of horizontal. Looks great though! Let me know if there's anything else specific I can give you feedback on.

Edit: Like the ipad page differentiates sections by changing the background color:

Maybe screenshots of your beta and more explanation about it, and how is different from others. As a user i would like to see more on it :).

Thanks for the input @miguelramos! Good to know that some more visuals would be helpful.
