What would you change on Typing Hero's landing page?

Hey folks,

I was making changes to Typing Hero's landing page recently.

https://typinghero.app

If you have the time:

  1. Do you understand what it is?
  2. What would you change on this landing page?

I'd really appreciate any feedback.

Thank you!

I actually don't understand what the product is. (I'm an iOS user, however.)

The copy above the fold doesn't really explain what I'm looking at or what the product will do for me other than "save time and get work done faster". The screenshots above the fold don't tell me what the product does either.

Businesses and professionals worldwide collectively saved 240K+ hours using the Text Expander for Android.

What is "Text Expander"? The page says "Typing Hero" at the top.

The hero image is too big for the page in my browser (on desktop). I have to scroll down to see the rest of it. The CTA button on the landing page is barely on the screen too. I have to scroll down to read it.

I think the most useful thing I would like to see as a visitor to the page is what does this product do exactly, and how would I use it? It seems like it's a templating tool of some sort, so maybe have a very simple to understand demo of how it's used in the hero image.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feedback! ❤️

It will be very useful when I'm making changes to it in the near future.

Save time & get work done faster

That didn’t really enlighten me, but then I realized it’s essentially TextExpander for Android. Like the lifetime license. Too bad I don’t use Android.

      Thank you for the feedback!

It really shows that it is not effective at all. 😅

I like you're showcasing your product that much with videos. Well done.

That said, your second section explains your product much better than the first hero section. That is confusing for me.
What if you change to something: Save time on repetitive texting
    Or save time cold texting.

Right now, the first headline and paragraph don't explain your product very well.

Thank you so much for sharing that! ❤️

I'll definitely think of it and make further changes.

Double on that. But before video, I would better explain why anybody need this. Like:

have a lot of leads? and forced to post same answers over and over? Just create templates and forget of copy-pasting!

The landing page seems to be legible for me to give good understanding. However one suggestion I would like to make is your buttons could use some touch up. You can use some framework like tailwind or bootstrap or even use something like Gatsby to create landing page in which all this available in-built.

      Thank you for the suggestions!

I'm building the site using @volkandkaya's Versoly, so Tailwind is already used there. I'll look for ways to touch it up if I keep using that button instead of the download asset from Play Store.

As others have said, there isn't any copy above the fold that explains what this does.

Check out this article by Harry Dry on writing landing page copy. It will give you some key action items to move forward with.

    Hi, I'm a UI/UX designer with 5+ Years Experience.

Here few of my notes to improve your landing page :

    1. Make Phone Screenshots small to fit Screen size 750px height
    2. Give some left and right padding for buttons
    3. "As seen on" Section bg color not works with company logos
Try to change it to white or light grey
    4. "As seen on" Section - make Logos size smaller and give left and right padding for the
      section
    5. "Get work done in seconds" Section - Make all mobile screenshots small to fit screen

Thank you so much for the suggestions! ❤️

Going to make these small changes soon.

Great site! Love the video demos :) a few comments:

    • Documentation is a strange thing to have in the top nav bar, i would replace it with pricing
    • Initially you've told me that businesses are saving time but there's no real specifics which outline how that is the case.
    • The two iphone image pictures are pretty large and slightly low quality

Noted on documentation! @volkandkaya suggested that to be removed, too.

Regarding how it helps businesses saving time, it appears that the demos aren't delivering on that, eh? 🤔

They are supposed to gave ideas on how it would help them running their businesses that relies a lot on messaging.

And noted about the images. It looks fine to me, but I'm definitely missing something as you're the second person who brought that up.

      Thank you!

I know this is a smartphone application at first sight, but I'm just quite unsure if the "Save time now" button would be better than a more straightforward Download in Google Play button or something like that.

And since it is a free-to-download app, maybe you can just emphasize it is a free download. Most people know good services are paid at a premium nowadays and maybe to have the pricing available would be better too.

Another con I found: The images are a bit blurry, try to change them into images with higher resolution.

    1. 1

Hey, thank you for the feedback!

It used to be the standard Get it on Google Play assets from Google. I don't know if Save time now is better, worse, or just the same.

Can you share which images that are blurry?

      1. 2

Most of them are quite blurry for me, especially in the shout-out parts ... and those shoutouts coming in different sizes make it looks messy.

Perhaps rearrange the shout-out in a horizontal way so that users can choose to view them if they want, or not it will take a little too much scroll before they reach the pricing part - which is much important.

        1. 1

          Gotcha!

          Thank you! ❤️

  10. 2

Few things, hope I can be candid

    • Pricing needs to be in navbar

    • I would remove docs/blog from navbar (when someone is on your landing page you want to convert them to a user)

    • Header "Save time & get work done faster" could be anything

    • Subheader "Businesses and professionals worldwide collectively saved 240K+ hours using the Text Expander for Android." should be used for a CTA

    • I get confused by 2 images on the header

    • No need for learn more, everyone will scroll

    • "Get work done in seconds" maybe change to "Use automation to get your work done in seconds" or "Use automation to save 5+ hours a week per employee"

    • Move pricing and faq to their one page /pricing

    1. 1

Thank you so much for all the points, mate!

The CTA in Subheader "Businesses and professionals worldwide collectively saved 240K+ hours using the Text Expander for Android." should be used for a CTA, do you mean it as in a link or a button?

      1. 2

        No problem.

        CTA block.
