Hey all--
I'm part of the team that is building the first file browser for everything you own in the cloud.
We are currently on beta, and have just recently updated our landing page.
I'm curious to hear your thoughts on our new page.
What do you think works, and what can we do better.
In summary: what would you do differently?
I'm happy to return the favor and give you my opinion on your landing page as well :)
Thanks!
Honest opinion: I think it's obvious at the start of the page what your product does but I don't know what and why I should use it?
There are huge data privacy concerns that come from reading your page and I don't think I have ever heard of your company meaning that I trust it even less
Thanks for the feedback!
Agreed-- we need to focus on product benefits for the user and data privacy protocols we have in place.
First screenshot is super misleading. A lot of text and I tried to read it, until I get it's mock up. I deleted it in developer tools and then get what you do.
First thing your customers should get: is how to copy/share files from one cloud to another. It's your core value, it should be delivered first. A little video might help. And you can easily subtitue all your text with video. Show all providers first, choose two, show how easily files shared. It could take 10 seconds on autoplay without voice.
Your previous version has a corporate feel, the new one has a customer one. So I don't get who is your market. Based on mentioning investment you are targeting B2B. But then you should have testimonials...

Reviewing your project now
Hi Lille.
Since you ask, I think the biggest thing I'd do differently is change the copy to focus on the benefits more.
Take the headline for example. I get that you're trying to play off your name, but "Rethink Files" doesn't mean anything without more context. Rethink in what way? And why? The headline is the most read part of any landing page, so you should put your most compelling message there.
The line under that does a decent job of explaining what the product does, but it's still missing the benefit. Why should your target audience care about that? What's in it for them?
The same goes for your button copy. Signing up is a benefit to you. What's in it for the person signing up? Focus on what they'll be able to do when they take the action.
I like that you include logos of where the product has been covered in the media. That's good for credibility and I would move it right under the hero section.
I would also include some testimonials if possible for social proof.
The section about your investors doesn't really add value for the user. Why should they care? They don't get any of that money. It comes off as just boastful. I would remove it all together.
I like that the layout is clean, but I think it may be a bit too sparse. Adding some design variation could help break things up a bit and add emphasis where needed.
Finally, I would recommend adding another button somewhere in the middle of the page.
Best of luck!
Hey Sean,
That's really awesome feedback. Thank you for taking the time to go over our new landing page. I'm already discussing it with the team to see how we can implement changes and make it better.
Hope you have a great week!
My pleasure. Glad you found it helpful.
