What would you do differently if you were to launch your product again?

We all make mistakes.

What are some mistakes you've made in past product launches?

What did you learn? And what would you differently if you were to do it all over?

If I was to launch https://versoly.com/ again

    • Better templates (I might even try selling just templates first)
    • Waiting list, slowly let people onto the platform and use their results as case studies
    • Build hype on twitter
    • Niche down and let that guide everything
    • Focus on getting to PMF faster (more customer interviews)

If I have to re-launch https://ventureslist.com/ - I’d definitely get more industry adopters onboard earlier.

I spent a week or two to prepare all the launch materials and I think I can do a better job.

For Zlappo, I'd focus a lot more on sales channels (e.g. partnerships) and less on marketing channels (e.g. content, social, SEO).

Nothing moved my revenue needle more than snagging one or two partnerships to bring some real legitimacy and traffic volume to my brand/product.

    1. Make sure the product is ready for launch and you won't waste good exposure *this one is big

    2. Start small, like really small, you won't see the details you can improve on until you get some people to play with your product.

    3. Get active on blogs and connect with people long before you're ready to launch, the internet favors words over pictures.

    Hi Volkan,

Thanks for sharing those great insights!

I'm curious -- what makes Versoly different from Carrd, for instance?
