What Would You Like To Learn About Here Next Week?

As the moderator, I'm trying to find ways to bring more value to this group.

One way is to organize and schedule opportunities for folks to learn about something here from someone who's already knowledgeable. That could be a video call, a text-based AMA, scheduled 'office hours', etc.

Before we figure out the format, I thought it would be good to figure out the most in-demand topics.

I've made a poll below. If what you want to learn about isn't one of the poll options, please do go ahead and drop your requests into the comments. (Pro tip: you can't post humongous polls on IH 😬)

State your preference in the comments, please! Also, let us know if you're interested in sharing your knowledge in this way.

Take a look at the Group Topics over there on the right for ideas.

Thanks!

I think I'd be most interested in a pros and cons, and use cases, of particular languages.

A sort of pre-learning to code step, where someone knowledgable in lots of areas lays out what you might want to learn and why. I know this is an area where there's lots of conflicting opinions and everyone has their favourites, for someone at the beginning of their journey it's hard to know where to spend the time to get some real (and useful) results. Then maybe within the group there could be different tracks or small groups as people pick an area to dive more deeply into.

Thanks for this great suggestion :) Why are you learning to code? (For career? To build your startup? For fun?)
