What would you use as a payment processor?

Been working on weremote.eu (remote jobs platform) since April and I'm looking to start charging.

I'm having trouble figuring out what payment processor to use, especially given the fact that the company is EU-based (Romania).

Were you in a similar situation? What did you choose?

You could check out https://www.mollie.com/en/ and https://paddle.com/. Both are really great

Here are a few:
- https://www.twispay.com/ - I've never used them, but they seems to be ok, they also have an address in Romania.
- https://www.paysera.com/ - I'm currently using them for one of my projects, getting your site approved may take some time, but you can accept a lot of payments types from EU countries.
- https://www.euplatesc.ro/ - Directly from Romania, they told me that I can accept USD payments with them, so you should be able to accept EUR.
PS: Glad to see other people from Romania here :)

  Thanks Mike. I'll have a look at all of them. A friend recommended 2Checkout but after talking to them they said they couldn't work with me because I'm not quite a SaaS and I'm more like a marketplace where one end of the market pays for visibility.

I have been using stripe and it's very good and serves all use cases.

    This is indiehackers and we always say stripe. But also it is a good option. You should check their docs to see if your country is supported. Many EU countries are.

doesnt paypal work for you? they have the highest conversion, then stripe.

besides, are they not tons of competitors? just https://weworkremotely.com/ with 600k visits/m, how do you want to find any customer paying you to post jobs?

  Never even considered PayPal, mostly because the people I talked to so far led me on different paths.
  
  Competition is good. I actually found a "competitor" over here who's developing weremoto.com — a jobs platform for LATAM. I wish more power to him. 😅
