What's been your proudest moment of 2020 so far?
by
Jordan cole
Just want to lift some spirits! Would love to hear what yall have accomplished :)
I paid my debt. 10k. I am debt free now.
Congratulations!
Kitti !
Puhutteko Suomea? :O
Ihaan vahaan. I live in Åland but my misses is from Vaasa
Aha wow, that was pretty unexpected :) Lovely to see some Finnish on here :) I have actually grown up in Vasa, so cool connection there. Hm, I guess if you live in Åland, you could figure this out too:
Önskar en fortsatt trevlig dag :)
Nåmen, tack det samma.
Yeah, we are a small amount..
Congrats! That's incredible!! What was your process if you don't mind sharing?
Thanks mate.
Absolutely.
Congrats Michael! You're crushing it! :)
Cheers, David
Thanks mate! I am trying!😅
You're not trying you're doing it! :) Best of luck with what remains to come in 2020! :)
Cheers,
David
Thank you so much David, that means a lot.
Great thing to do!
Yes, it is. I already have a smile in my face.
That's amazing! Congratulations, Michael!
Say no more ! I took a huge weight from my back...
Thank you
I feel you
💪💪💪
I wasn't proud of myself, but of my son:
That sure is something to be proud of. Building a GIF manually using 50 hand-drawn pictures? So good.
Not only was it fun, he learned a lot. So, win win win :-)
That's amazing Hen! Congratulations!
Great parenting achievement unlocked! :)
Thank you for giving me the first smile of the day!
Cheers,
David
Congratulations! That's some commitment and dedication :)
awesome
Dang that's sick! I wish my dad had encouraged me like that growing up!
I can survive without childcare and maintain a 'full time gig'!
Power to you Rosie! And thanks for all the hard work you do for this community!
Way to go Rosie! :) Keep on grinding and making things work out! :)
Cheers,
David
Launching joshternyak.com and helping other developers not make the mistakes I made.
Yeah what they said! This website is gorgeous!
Amazing design mate! Cheers for that!
And great content too! You've been bookmarked :)
Cheers,
David from The Other WorkSpace
Thanks David!
Wow your website looks amazing! Really love the aesthetic
Great sentiment Josh. Very impressive website and product launch. Well done.
Thanks!
I learned Clojure.
Had to google that haha :)
David
Same... Looks way above my head! Congrats @MatthieuCneude!
Thanks! It's not that complicated :D
Launching a MVP of our decentralized swapping exchange after working on it for 2+ years - https://double-edge.net/ Also, seeing that some companies we intend to work with in the future are working on a similar solution.
And on a private level: Started playing chess again and already winning a few matches :-)
Congrats on the launch John! What made you want to build the exchange?
And that's awesome, I've been wanting to learn chess for a little while now. What made you pick it up again?
Thanks! What made me want to build it? The final solution I have in mind can make life easier for everybody. Imagine an exchange were you can trade literally everything. Like e.g. you just got a coupon from a store but don´t want to use it, ok, go and trade it. Don´t use all your bandwith, ok, trade it. and so on. The use cases are endless.
As for chess. Youtube recommended a video from a German chess teacher and he made it so entertaining so I got hooked again. I´m still a very bad player but I´m improving haha - btw, If you want to learn chess, I recommend Lichess - https://lichess.org/ - They have a huge community and a comprehensive education section

You give away a few percent of your bandwith and receive tokens for that services. That token again should be possible to exchange for money. There are already a few solutions out there but not in connection with blockchain
Grew Divjoy revenue to the point where I could go full-time on it
Man that's the dream! I hope to get to that point one day!
You'll get there! It just takes lots of time/learning/failure. Totally worth it though :)
Thank you!
Smooth UI Gabe! Congratulations and keep up the great work on Divjoy! :)
Cheers,
David
Thanks David!
I would say, Doing my First ProductHunt Launch, Going Indie from Agency owner and Walking on a ramp in a fashion show :)
That's awesome! How'd all that go?
The productHunt launch went good, I didn't expect much exposure as the project was something I wanted to build for fun. I knew that it had a small target audience who might use it. Fashion show went great, I loved doing it and it was one great experience. About the transition from Agency owner to Indie, I can't say much as I am still working on my goals but it is positive and feels relieving, for sure.

Very nice Vaibhav! :) Keep on grinding! :) Followed you on PH!
Cheers,
David
Thank you, I appreciate that.
Finally beta launching my digital game platform's first game, the result of 4 years of nights and weekends!
Dang that sounds like a good grind! Would you be willing to share the link?
Haha it certainly was. part of the 4 years involved some months where I wouldn't get much done as I was noticing myself get burnt out (mostly from my full-time job)
link: https://gomobo.app
I'm also starting to share my journey on IH: https://www.indiehackers.com/product/mobo-games
Come on Justin don't be shy! :) Share the link so that we can all be in awe! :)
Cheers mate and all the best with your venture!
David
Thanks David!
link: https://gomobo.app <-- to check it out and sign up for beta (if you want)
I'm also starting to share my journey on IH: https://www.indiehackers.com/product/mobo-games
Cheers mate! :) Would love to hear updates, who doesn't love a good game? :)
David
Launching this: https://toddmoses.com/rewind
Those seem good to listen into, so people sign up to Todd's mailing list :)
Getting to learn from someone else's mistakes is a great thing, unfortunately I've had my fair (probably more than fair, or at least feels that way) share of issues, so I hope in the future I'll be able to learn from others' mistakes instead of failing miserably like I did! :)
Cheers,
David
Thanks. I created it because we all make mistakes.
Congrats Todd! Thanks for sharing!
In 2019, I was dreaming and "planning" to do a lot of stuff - most of it that I haven't done before. In 2020, I actually started all of that:
This year is completely different from any other year, as I am basically doing stuff I wanted to do for a long time, but neglected.
🔥 so badass... keep it up!
Thanks, Dan! I think you are right - the hardest part is ahead. To "keep it up" - don't want to momentum to slow down :)
yep, it's hard not to get comfortable after a little bit of success/progress
Holy crap I wish I had that kind of hustle haha
Now that I made a list, it actually sounds better than it actually is 😅
Very, VERY cool mate! Doing something you enjoy and from which you derive meaning if what makes the enjoyable part of life become a reality!
Keep on doing what you like, and what you find meaning in! :)
David
Thank you, David, for the encouragement :)
That's part of what IH is for ;)
Launching a new product, https://oneprofile.page, a simple landing page builder!
Love the style of your illustrations, especially in the hero banner! :)
Great work Yusuf, keep on grinding! :)
Cheers,
David
Thanks a lot, David! Really happy to hear that you loved it :D
All the best to you, too :)
I sure did! :) Cheers, to you to mate!
Thanks again, mate! :)
Love the design! Keep crushing it!
Thanks, Jordan! All the best to you, too!
I've launched 2 new side hustles on top of the primary one I've already been running for years! Cheers to a successful 2020!
That's awesome! Have they been profitable for you?
All of my side hustles are bootstrapped and currently profitable! There's not much profit yet for the latest two but that should come soon!
That's awesome! Yeah I just saw your UranusHost website! What made you start that one?
I should probably make a separate post about this, but I created it because there were a lot of big named hosting companies at the time that a lot of people had issues with (prices were outrageous after a few years of using them, constantly seeing hidden fees on bills, support that was fast but not really helpful and seemed to be drawing more and more money out of you).
So I built a hosting company with super reasonable pricing (almost too cheap hah - I'll probably have to raise prices for new users in the future as they've been the same since I started) but with the idea that it would help businesses / startups with their websites. Not trying to squeeze money out of people, but offer fast hosting at a very reasonable price.
Those are the first things that come to mind. Let me know if you have any more questions about it!
Cheers Daniel! Share the links mate, so that we let our eyes enjoy something nice today! :)
David
I didn't realize that was allowed so I didn't do it. Sure! My longest running one is https://uranushost.com which offers super affordable hosting packages to indie hackers. My latest two I can post here soon!
Love the name hahaha! Cheers mate! Great design, and apparently GREAT SEO, so congratulations on all of that! Signed up to your mailing list :)
Cheers,
David
I launched a new product - scrapingdog.com
Oh my a scraping lover on IH! Hello to you dear sir!
I'd love to sign up to your newsletter Kunal! Let me know if you have one, didn't find a way to sign up on the site! :)
Cheers,
David
Don't have one right now. I just launched the product a week before.
Since January I've been building my most ambitious project yet and just by coincidence, it has launched today! (https://www.producthunt.com/posts/postkit-2)
Good job on the launch! Let me know how it goes
API image generation of Social Media (so that the reader on IH know they must check it out) :)
If it works as well as it sounds, I'd love that product! Upvoted you and followed you on PH! :)
Cheers, and keep on working on it! :)
David
Launching http://withpeers.app/ on iOS. Relearning how to run a startup after moved my focus off my 7 years business Snaptee.
That's awesome Gary! What made you build this one?
I finally launched my product ProductPage (https://productpage.co)
I always thought that I'm not the kinda guy that can work 80 hours a week but lately I realised, I don't see my programming in my spare time as work even if I'm working on a side business. I just love it so much. And nowadays I spend every free minute working on it cause I'm so motivated.
And I'm proud that. Good question sir.
Dang that's awesome man! Haha any tips for staying motivated?
Loving your product is easy but loving your target market makes it even easier. I like hanging around here on indiehackers.com and it also happens to be my target market. This makes it so much easier to give value to the community and generate traffic for my landing page. And it's actually fun!
So fun + results = staying motivated. Check out one of my posts for staying disciplined.
Oh mate, if only I had one....
Congrats to all of you guys, keep on crushing it though!
Cheers,
David

David
Thanks for sharing Yulia! It's a great time to be learning right now! What courses did you enroll in if you don't mind me asking?
This comment was deleted 6 years ago
Of course! And thanks I didn't realize they had made it free!
I highly recommend Doug Cunnington's stuff: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOnRcB5hR6gLTCC0OvWn4D9JUPucIEEDY
And then Ahrefs has also made one of their courses free as well:
