What's more important to you: IQ or EQ?

Both. If the delta is too big between high EQ and high IQ, you endup as a difficult to deal with nerd, or a great talker. Keeping both aptitudes somewhat coherent is probably best.

Be a hero, or just yet another good to be with contributor. Modesty pays off if you have any doubt.

A mix of both is important.

More than ever, we need to work with others, leaning on each others strengths.

Effective teams need team members with high EQ. So, I'd certainly lean toward EQ being more important. This is especially true for managers, leaders, and people roles.
