OpenAI's o1 is now available to all paid API users 🤖

All paid OpenAI API users can now access preview and mini versions of the highly anticipated o1 large language model.

OpenAI has also enabled streaming for the models, allowing users to receive responses incrementally as they're being generated. This can result in faster, more efficient responses.

Designed for advanced reasoning and problem solving, o1 preview performs above PhD level in a number of scientific areas.

How AI is reshaping the job market worldwide 🌎

In late 2022, AI was everywhere. It turned many industries on their heads, and practically overnight. Tools like ChatGPT and Midjourney weren’t just fancy tech demos: They were a tidal wave. Within months, they reshaped entire job markets, especially in freelancing and entry-level positions.

By mid-2023, the numbers were hard to ignore. Freelance roles vulnerable to automation (i.e., jobs that didn’t need much human oversight) dropped 21% in just eight months.

Growing a backend development curriculum 📚

Lane Wagner's wife wanted to learn backend development, so he began searching for a proper in-depth curriculum online. Once he realized that there wasn't one, he built boot.dev.
