What's stopping you from getting started?

If you have a product idea, but haven't started building it yet, I'd love to hear what's holding you back. Lack of technical skills? Need to do more customer research? Your cat keeps stealing your mouse?

I'm working on a dev tool that helps people build SaaS products faster and I'd love to have better insight into the problems people face early on.

Not totally sure if this will be helpful to you, but my main three mistakes so far:

    1. Shiny object syndrome
    2. Scope for the MVP is too big
    3. Focusing on vanity metrics instead of the two most important KPIs (pre-mvp): Active Users and Product Progress/Features Built.

I probably spent a whole year “figuring out my tech stack” on different projects.

Looking back, I wish I would have focused on making my first sales before building too much.

Yeah, I imagine this is pretty common. With so many tech options these days it's easy to lose sight of what matters, that you're building something people want.
