I let my users try the tool once (one audit run) for free, so they get something for free before every paying anything, and they know the tool works! :)
for us its the live "try it" demo on our API landing page. you paste any URL and it runs a full SEO audit right there — no signup, no email, no paywall. shows you broken links, missing meta tags, speed issues, the works. most people who end up buying the pro tools tried the free one first and realized it actually catches real problems. the free feature is basically the best sales pitch you could write because it proves the product works before asking for money.
