We are in the process of building our v1 (https://www.asmi.io) and exploring ways to reach freelancers (our target audience) with as less spend as possible. Current efforts include a newsletter, Twitter posts (without much traction) and a couple of growth hacking ideas.
Problem with freelance communities is that they are very strict on self promotion, so it is very hard to do that (unlike communities like IH where indiehackers welcome new product posts, etc) although I try to help folks in the communities however I can. Ideas?
