We have built Rhizata many times - like, more than 10 times - for various startups in NYC, SV, and Austin. In each circumstance, we look at the source code for a web/mobile/IOT products and it is not "built to scale" which prevents the business from growing revenue/clients/signups/funding as fast as they would like.
So, we built Rhizata to solve this problem for all businesses.
My question to the community is - what's the risk with this approach? All feedback is welcome.

I tried associating our product on IH to this post, but it failed a few times.
As others previously mentioned, this question is rather unclear, so I will be addressing the one in the title.
The biggest risks you take on are...
I don't understand your question entirely. I don't know what Rhizata is either.
But nevertheless, I will answer with my opinion on the fundamental question in the title.
I believe that solving your own problem is one of the best approaches to starting a business.
It makes you more passionate about the problem and the solution.
It provides you with a drive you may not otherwise have.
It gives you an insight in to the mindset of your target market immediately, as you are part of that audience!
We thought it was a good approach too. The hard part is now finding people who have also experienced this problem.
