Hi IHers, I recently updated the landing page for our new product. I'd be super grateful if you took a moment out of your busy day and told me in the comments 1) what's unclear or 2) what could be better.
Thank you!
Link: https://www.deprocrastination.co/guide
I stumbled a bit over the "un-" and "pro-" bits, I felt like I had to consciously invert the meaning of some words, and that broke the flow in that sentence. I think if you can replace "unstuck" with a positive word by itself it would work better, at least for me :)
Otherwise, the page has a nice feel. I like the simple color palette, it's quite black and white, but you bring in enough color (mostly green) to make it work.
Thank you! I'll think about this.
I guess I would start by asking what the purpose of this specific page is, because right now it gives me a CTA, a product description, a pricing list, a description of procrastination, a feature list, and so on.
If I had to give a recommendation for improvement it would be to think about how you can find a singularity of messaging and the why behind that messaging. Do you want to explain what procrastination is? If so, why? Do you want to drive more people to do a certain action? If so, why?
Thank you. The purpose of the page is to a) provide the free chapter to people and b) lead to a pre-order.

Thank you for the suggestion.
I link to this page from various places like our newsletter to existing customers, who might already be willing to pay, so that's why I think the purchase link should be there (some people have already bought through it).
I suppose I could create a streamlined landing just for newcomers without the pricing and other links, however.

My eyes focus immediately on the 'procrastination' in your header, so when I read it the first time I completely missed the first word. Unlearn procrastination also doesn't really flow well. You want something that is grabbing people and makes them want to change their existing behaviour. Tell them the benefits of getting the chapter! Unlearning something isn't the benefit, it's the action that results in the benefit.
Subheader should hold your unique value proposition; who your book is for, what the benefits are to them, what makes you unique.
Too much text throughout the rest of the landing page.
Centering the text for the header, subheader and call to action would also be a nice touch.
Thanks! Good points, I'll make changes.
Reply when you make the changes and I will check again.
Made some of the changes!
Didn't like the centered header idea, but tried it. Tried to be more benefits oriented. Will continue to work on that.
Your header is in the right direction but the sentence structure makes it look like a poorly worded list:
-Beat procrastination;
-Work Calmly and;
-Guilt Free
That's how I read it when I first opened the page.
Cool idea.
However, the tagline "Beat procrastination, work calmly and guilt-free" doesn't do much for me.
Procrastination isn't a disease, it's an ongoing process, therefore I think using "procrastinating" is better than "procrastination".
And using "beat" makes me think of cancer, maybe not the right mental image.
Maybe consider replacing with something like, "Stop procrastinating -- Learn 30 powerful techniques to help you unlock your full potential"
Including a number is always good for conversion.
Final thought -- not too sure about that font. It looks a bit like Comic Sans!
Keep up the good work!
Hi Daniel, thanks for the feedback, I'll make some changes based on it.
It isn't clear until you get to the email box and text below that what you are offering is a book. :)
This sentence switches person mid-way through:
"A busy person's guide to helping you overcome procrastination with ready-to-use mental tools."
It should be "A guide to helping you overcome..."
Or "A busy person's guide to overcoming..."
Otherwise, what you are saying is "This is a guide that a busy person could use to instruct you about how to overcome procrastination."
Thanks, changed it.
I think it looks nice and the graphics are good. However I was confused as to what you are actually offering (an ebook + tools) until getting fairly far along in the page.
I found that the coloring and design above the fold was very interesting, perhaps too much so! The graphics and colors distracted me from the header and subheader copy. I first looked at the green CTA (but didn't click bc without reading the header / subheader, I don't know what I'm getting a free chapter of), then I looked at the "pre order now" button (also wouldnt pre order without knowing what im ordering), then looked at the image on the right ("ok, this is a procrastination related thing"), then the title at the top left (the green color attracted my eye).
Only then did I read the header and subheader. I knew it was about procrastination, but didn't know what it was.
I think the graphics and design are really attractive and nice, maybe you could use those skills to first orient the reader's attention to the fact that this is a "guide / book on overcoming procrastination". I like the term "book" better, even though it seems like it is more than a book. The term "guide" is a bit vague, I'm not sure what a "guide" is?
Perhaps you could create some more space above the fold -- perhaps the distraction comes in part from the fact that there's a lot going on. If you decreased the font on the copy underneath the CTA, maybe increased the padding on the header and subheader, and increased the bottom padding on the above the fold section with the gray background, that could reduce the clutter? Maybe even reduce left / right margin above the fold. And perhaps delete the pre-order CTA
Thanks for the points! I've made some of the changes already.
This entire phrase is hard to read
I think if you do a good quality photo of the book (a photo, not an image — to leave no doubt that this website is about a book and not anything else), and email form below it then it will be enough.
Hey Vita,
I didn't know it was a guide/book until I got to the CTA button where it says, "Get Free Chapter Now". You have to get all the way to the bottom to understand it is a very lengthy guide but there still isn't any context as to how the free chapter is going to benefit me or how many chapters there are overall.
Same with the pre-order language above the fold. I don't really know what I'm considering pre-ordering.
All of the procrastination content is good and the page looks nice. I'd just recommend being more explicit that it is a guide.
Nate
Thank you, I'll clarify that.

Thanks, I'll make the FAQ more value-focused. We tried to address the objections someone might have.
