What's wrong with my open source project?

My project (PEP) is an open source PDF editor for Mac. it has been 9 months old, and it's still in alpha, and now I am facing a problem, it seems I can not get enough responses from my end user. There are only two patrons for my Patreon page.

And now I am a little confuse, if it's normal situation for Open source projects like PEP, or what am I doing wrong with it? (Can someone share your experiences?)
